Unlike a traditional street march\, our band members will gather in this picturesque park\, surrounded by lush greenery and open skies. \nAs the sun bathes the grass\, our musicians\, clad in their colorful uniforms\, will perform with pride. The beat of drums and the melodic strains of horns will resonate through the air. We’ll weave our way through the crowd as we celebrate love\, diversity\, and resilience. \nSo\, join us at Kitsap Pride as we play\, dance\, and create a harmonious symphony of acceptance. Let the music be our anthem\, and let love be our guide. Together\, we’ll celebrate the beauty of diversity and the strength of unity amidst the natural beauty of Gordon Fields. \nAbout the Event\nKitsap Pride is a kaleidoscope of activities: from lively parades to thought-provoking workshops\, from vibrant vendor booths to captivating performances. Families\, friends\, and individuals of all ages will gather in this park to honor the progress made by the LGBTQ+ community and to advocate for a future of equality and acceptance. The event fosters connections\, educates\, and empowers\, all while celebrating the unique identities that make our community so rich and beautiful. \nAbout the Performers\nRainbow City Marching Band\, Drumline\, and Rainbow City Color Guard are three of the performance ensembles of Rainbow City Performing Arts. They perform at various parades\, festivals\, and community events throughout the year\, bringing joy and color to the streets. Rainbow City Marching Band plays a variety of music\, from pop to classical\, with a focus on fun and entertainment. Rainbow City Color Guard adds visual flair and movement to the band’s music\, using flags\, sabers\, and dance. Together\, they create a dynamic and diverse show that celebrates LGBTQIA+ pride and inclusion. \nAbout Rainbow City\nRainbow City Performing Arts is a nonprofit organization that celebrates LGBTQIA+ diversity and inclusion through musical expression. Rainbow City consists of seven performance ensembles that play various genres of music\, such as jazz\, orchestra\, sports band\, and drumline. Their mission is to create a safe and supportive environment for musicians of all identities\, skills\, and backgrounds\, and to promote the equity and visibility of LGBTQIA+ people in the community. The nonprofit also supports young and marginalized artists by commissioning new works and providing instruments and scholarships.
