Job Summary
The Email Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating and managing email campaigns and newsletters that support RCPA’s engagement, promotional, and fundraising efforts. This role involves gathering content, tailoring messaging to specific
audiences, and designing compelling emails using MailChimp. The coordinator plays a key role in keeping members and the broader community informed and engaged with RCPA’s activities and values.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and send regular email campaigns and newsletters using MailChimp and approved templates.
- Gather content from internal sources, blogs, newsletters, and staff contributions.
- Write concise, engaging summaries to encourage reader interaction and link clicks.
- Tailor content to specific audience segments, maintaining appropriate voice and
tone. - Collaborate with staff and volunteers to align messaging with organizational goals.
- Attend monthly departmental meetings to coordinate campaign planning.
- Ensure compliance with RCPA’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants.
- Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills that reflect RCPA’s Mission and Core Values.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Experience managing email newsletters or similar content services.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice.
- Proficiency with drag-and-drop email platforms like MailChimp.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
