Title Grant Writer
Reports to Development Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Grant writers work within a team structure to develop sound and successful grant proposals. They guide the development of answers through research and interview of other staff to determine needs for funding and responses to application questions. Grant writers also assist in submitting applications and ensuring timeliness of the process to meet deadlines.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Studies and comprehends the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of the organization.
- Drafts compelling and clearly written grant proposals that respond to the needs of the application and reflect the mission and values of the organization.
- Completes grant proposals for approval and be mindful of deadlines to ensure timely submission.
- Submits proposals to funders on direction and responds to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
- Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
- Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Excellent writing skills and technical writing experience.
- Organization and time management.
- Data collection and research skills.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic spreadsheet and word processing applications.

Title Guild Coordinator
Reports to Administration Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Administers the volunteer support program for the organization. This includes tracking and reporting hours, connecting volunteers with open roles, iterating education and support programs, and provisioning accounts and benefits. The Guild Coordinator also evangelizes and communicates with staff to promote program opportunities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains documentation to track hours and other data needed for tax and grant reporting.
- Connects volunteers to managers and other staff seeking volunteers to fill opportunities.
- Work with staff to create and improve education and support materials.
- Determine eligibility for benefits and provide them according to policy guidelines.
- Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
- Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.
