JOB SUMMARY
Maintains engagement and visibility for Rainbow City Performing Arts (RCPA) and its ensembles through frequent posts and engagement on its central social media pages. This includes sharing content from other RCPA accounts and coordinating organizational campaigns. The role also involves posting snippets as updates from the blog, newsletters, and other internal postings. This helps the organization remain visible, drives event attendance, membership requests, and supports fundraising and other organizational priorities. The Social Media Coordinator will lead the RCPA pages on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, serving as umbrella pages for all program accounts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Posts content on RCPA’s social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) using native apps.
- Assists in composing and editing text content for posts.
- Creates images to pair with text using provided libraries and frames
- Tags pages and includes hashtags as designated in the marketing plan.
- Shares content from other program accounts and reposts partner content.
- Posts supporting campaigns, fundraisers, and initiatives as directed.
- Posts updates and snippets from the blog, newsletters, and other sources.
- Follows RCPA brand guidelines including use of logo, colors, frames, fonts, etc.
- Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
- Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and code of conduct; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Writing skills in creating short content with a given tone and voice.
- Experience in photo editing, text editing, and post creation.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prefer experience operating social media for a brand, company, or ensemble.

- Brand kit and assets to guide designs
- Marketing Plan and Design Manual to specify policy and communication
- Campaign briefs and supporting assets to assist in creating posts
- Orientation and training sessions
- Additional social media volunteers and marketing staff to help

- Work involves walking, talking, and hearing; using hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The individual may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry objects up to 5 pounds and to stand and walk for extended periods.
