JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing digital sheet music for ensemble rehearsals. This includes collecting, scanning, and naming the music as well as working with the Data Coordinator to ensure timely distribution. The Music Coordinator is a key part of the operational team supporting members being able to rehearse with legible and professionally presented sheet music.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gathers and receives sheet music for upcoming ensemble rehearsals.
  • Scans physical copies of music and organizes files according to naming and distribution policies.
  • Provides files to the Data Coordinator for distribution to members.
  • Attends the monthly departmental meeting and coordinates with other staff as needed.
  • Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
  • Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Experience with project management and document archiving.
  • Ability to conduct effective research to locate music resources.
  • Attention to detail in categorizing and labeling music materials.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

  • Experience scanning documents with precise quality and owns equipment to use to scan.

  • Work involves using hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The volunteer may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry objects up to 10 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be moderately high depending on the noise level of machinery.
