Title                     Outreach Coordinator

Reports to          Marketing Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Connects our organization with the community through intentional communication with outside organizations and community groups. This position involves fostering relationships, organizing events, and promoting our artistic endeavors. As an Outreach Coordinator, you’ll be the bridge between our vibrant arts community and the diverse audiences we serve.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with educators, youth programs, and community leaders to promote our events.
  • Coordinates ticket giveaways, discounts, and special promotions to attract diverse audiences.
  • Develops and implements strategies to engage with local schools, community centers, and other organizations.
  • Organizes outreach events, workshops, and performances in collaboration with artistic teams.
  • Ensures that outreach efforts reach marginalized communities and underrepresented groups.
  • Collects feedback from participants, volunteers, and community members.
  • Continuously assesses the effectiveness of outreach initiatives and adapts as needed.
  • Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
  • Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Understanding of diverse cultures, identities, and perspectives.
  • Familiarity with social media, PR, and advertising.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing community needs.

  • Work involves talking, and hearing; using hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
