Title                     Performance Coordinator

Reports to          Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Operates as the central node of communication to manage non-produced performances. This includes determining feasibility, negotiating terms, communicating details, and tracking progress. Fosters performance opportunities for ensembles and drives greater revenue to support programs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives incoming requests and works with staff to determine feasibility and coordinate details.
  • Communicates on behalf of the organization about non-produced performances, discusses compensation and terms, and ensures needs of ensemble are communicated.
  • Reaches out to potential partners and venues to open opportunities for performances.
  • Tracks non-produced performances and ensures contracts and payments are received.
  • Attends monthly departmental meetings and coordinates with other staff as needed.
  • Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
  • Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Experience with production needs for varied musical ensembles.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Experience with project management and business contracts preferred.
