JOB SUMMARY
The Website Coordinator maintains the organization’s online presence, ensuring that the website is functional, user-friendly, and up to date. Working with other volunteers to coordinate design projects, this role manages coordination and compliance with design manuals and standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the website, including content updates, design changes, and troubleshooting issues.
- Work with other staff and partners to develop and update content that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Applies search engine optimization techniques and analyzes web traffic to improve visibility.
- Ensures all writing is reflective of the organization’s tone, voice, and values and represents diverse identities and views.
- Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
- Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Familiarity with content management systems, HTML, CSS, and new technologies.
- Understanding of web visual design and user experience best practices.
- Experience with search engine optimization and web marketing principles.
- Experience writing content for professional or creative purposes in a given tone and voice.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with WordPress or drag-and-drop content development applications.
