Title Member Newsletter Coordinator
Reports to Marketing Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for creating and distributing a monthly newsletter to our members, showcasing our performances, events, and updates. You will work closely with our marketing team to ensure a cohesive brand voice and visually appealing design.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs and creates a newsletter using email marketing software (e.g. Mailchimp).
- Gathers and writes content, including news, updates, and announcements from various departments.
- Coordinates with staff and volunteers to collect and edit content.
- Ensures accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of newsletter publication.
- Manages email lists, subscriptions, and unsubscriptions.
- Analyzes and reports on newsletter performance (open rates, click-throughs, etc.).
- Collaborates with marketing team on branding, design, and content strategy.
- Attends the monthly departmental meeting and works with other staff to generate campaigns.
- Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
- Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Experience operating an email newsletter or other regular content service.
- Writing skills creating short content with a given tone and voice.
- Strong design and layout skills.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
